TEHRAN, July 22 (Xinhua) -- Explosions were heard in several parts of Iran on Tuesday, including the port city of Bushehr and the northwestern city of Tabriz, while air defense activity was reported in Tehran, following fresh U.S. strikes on Iran, according to media reports.
Iranian air defense systems were operating in Tehran to repel enemy attacks, Jamaran news website reported.
U.S. Central Command said earlier in the day that it began striking military targets in Iran for the 11th consecutive night. ■
