BEIJING, July 21 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Tuesday that Japan's neo-militarism has bared its fangs and that the international community must remain highly vigilant, after remarks by Japan's defense minister advocating unrestricted discussions on nuclear-related policies.
Spokesperson Lin Jian said at a daily media briefing that it is extremely rare in Japan's post-World War II history for an incumbent Japanese defense minister to make such highly-provocative and dangerous remarks, adding that the ruling Japanese authorities' ambition to break away from the Three Non-Nuclear Principles and challenge the post-WWII international order has been fully exposed. ■
