KABUL, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Two commuters, including a child, were killed and seven others sustained injuries as a vehicle veered off road in Jawzjan province north of Afghanistan on Tuesday, a statement of provincial police office confirmed.
The deadly mishap, due to a sandstorm, took place on a road in Qosh Tepa district on Tuesday morning, killing a child and the driver at the scene. Seven others were injured, some in critical condition, the statement added.
All the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital, the statement said. ■
