BEIRUT, July 18 (Xinhua) -- One Lebanese soldier was killed and two others were injured on Saturday when a suspicious object exploded near an army vehicle in the southern town of Mansouri, the Lebanese Army's Orientation Directorate said in a statement.
The statement said the injured included an officer and a soldier, and an investigation is underway.
Mansouri, located in the Tyre district near the Lebanese-Israeli border, has witnessed repeated security incidents in recent months.
The latest incident comes amid continued tensions along the border between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah. ■
