KABUL, July 14 (Xinhua) -- A new school building has been inaugurated in Afghanistan's southeastern Ghazni Province, providing improved learning facilities for local students, the official media, Bakhtar News Agency, said Tuesday.
The building, constructed in Jaghatu district, was completed for 7 million Afghanis (about 100,000 U.S. dollars). The facility comprises classrooms and one administrative office, with the capacity to accommodate hundreds of students, the report said.
Education officials said the new building is expected to enhance the teaching and learning environment for students in the district and contribute to expanding access to quality education in the area.
Afghanistan continues to face challenges in its education sector, particularly in rural areas where inadequate infrastructure remains a major obstacle. ■
