PARIS, July 9 (Xinhua) -- The Louvre Museum announced on Thursday that it will close two hours earlier than usual from Friday through next Monday as France braces for another heatwave.
The museum said on social media platform X that it will exceptionally close at 4 p.m. (1400 GMT), instead of its regular 6 p.m. (1600 GMT), from July 10 to July 13 due to extreme heat.
The Eugene Delacroix National Museum, which is affiliated with the Louvre, will follow the same schedule, the museum said.
In a report released on Thursday, Meteo-France said that, following the exceptional heatwave that swept France in late June, scorching temperatures are once again spreading across much of the country.
