BEIJING, July 8 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 jolted off the east coast of North Island, New Zealand, at 2033 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 37.13 degrees south latitude and 177.41 degrees east longitude. ■
