BEIJING, July 7 (Xinhua) -- China notified relevant countries in advance of the test launch of a nuclear submarine-based strategic missile, which demonstrates the openness and transparency of the Chinese armed forces, a defense spokesperson said on Tuesday.
Chen Xi, a spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, made the remarks in response to a relevant media query.
He noted that the test launch was a routine arrangement of annual military training and complied with international law and international practice. ■
