HANOI, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam exported 145,686 tonnes of pepper worth 940.5 million U.S. dollars in the first half of 2026, up 17.4 percent in volume and 10.6 percent in value year on year, the Vietnam News Agency reported Monday, citing the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association.
The United States remained Vietnam's largest market, with shipments to the country reaching 35,362 tonnes, up 28.7 percent year on year, according to the report.
The Southeast Asian country imported 45,198 tonnes of pepper worth 257.7 million dollars during the six-month period, surging 59.7 percent in volume and 48 percent in value from the same period last year, mainly from Cambodia, Brazil and Indonesia. ■
