VIENTIANE, July 3 (Xinhua) -- President of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing arrived in the Lao capital Vientiane on Friday for a state visit from Friday to Sunday, accompanied by his spouse and a high-level delegation.
The visit is being made at the invitation of Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith to commemorate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Laos and Myanmar.
It also aims to further strengthen the longstanding friendship and expand close cooperation between the two neighboring countries, the Vientiane Mai newspaper reported on Friday. ■
