BEIJING, July 3 (Xinhua) -- China will use the World Artificial Intelligence (AI) Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with all parties to build a global AI governance system based on broad consensus, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng said on Friday.
Han made the remarks when addressing the opening ceremony of the 14th World Peace Forum in Beijing, calling for strengthening governance in emerging fields like AI.
China has put forward the Global AI Governance Initiative, advocating a people-centered approach and the development of AI for the good of humanity, Han said. ■
