XINING, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Eight people were killed in a traffic accident in northwest China's Qinghai Province on Wednesday evening, local authorities said on Thursday.
The accident took place at around 7 p.m. Wednesday, when a pickup truck carrying 15 people overturned on a section of a road in the Lijiatai Village of Haidong City. Four people were pronounced dead at the scene and four others died despite emergency medical treatment. The other seven injured have been hospitalized. ■
