VIENTIANE, June 30 (Xinhua) -- A road repair crew discovered a 750-pound bomb while repairing a road in Vang Khon village of Bualapha district in central Laos' Khammuan province.
Mines Advisory Group (MAG) Laos said that the bomb was found just a few meters from the village's main electricity pole, Socio-Economic News reported on Tuesday.
After receiving reports from local residents, the team immediately rushed to the site and transported the bomb to a safe disposal site away from the community to ensure minimal impact on villagers. ■
