KABUL, June 28 (Xinhua) -- Police have destroyed 400 acres of poppy farms in Afghanistan's western Farah province, said a statement of the provincial police office on Sunday.
The campaign was launched in Pur Chaman district, the statement said, adding that police would continue to fight the cultivation of illegal crops across the province.
Police also discovered 3,500 kg of hashish during the campaign and arrested five individuals. ■
