MOSCOW, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Russia's Yak-130M trainer-combat aircraft completed its maiden flight at Irkutsk Aviation Plant, state-owned technology corporation Rostec said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, the flight lasted about 50 minutes, reaching an altitude of 2,000 meters and a speed of 600 kilometers per hour.
It added that the flight was completed in full and no issues were identified.
"The aircraft combines modern technologies, expanded capabilities and significant potential to perform a wide range of tasks in the interests of customers," Russia's Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gennady Abramenkov said.
The Yak-130M is an upgraded version of the Yak-130 trainer-combat aircraft, which is currently in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces as well as the air forces of several countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. ■
