BEIJING, June 26 (Xinhua) -- China is willing to work with Cambodia to deepen and solidify mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields and better enhance the well-being of the people of both countries, Chinese Premier Li Qiang said Friday.

Li made the remarks while meeting with Cambodian People's Party (CPP) President and Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen in Beijing.

Li noted that China and Cambodia are ironclad friends who share both joys and hardships, always standing by each other. He said that China has always taken Cambodia as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy, and will, as always, firmly support the Cambodian government in its smooth administration, enhance strategic communication with Cambodia, deepen political mutual trust, and support each other's core interests and major concerns.

Li highlighted that China is willing to deepen cooperation with Cambodia in areas such as infrastructure, agriculture, clean energy, digital economy and artificial intelligence. He added that both sides should continue to strive to create a favorable and secure environment for bilateral cooperation, enhance exchanges in culture, tourism, education and other fields, and ensure that the friendship between the two countries is passed down for generations to come.

For his part, Hun Sen said that the relations between the two countries have entered a new stage of building a Cambodia-China community with a shared future in the new era, adding that Cambodia is willing to maintain the momentum of high-level exchanges with China, enhance the alignment of development strategies, and explore cooperation potential in digitalization, green transformation, blue economy, supply chain and finance.

Cambodia welcomes more Chinese enterprises to invest and start businesses in the country, and the CPP is willing to enhance exchanges and cooperation with the Communist Party of China, Hun Sen added.
