KABUL, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Work for building six water supply networks began in eastern Afghanistan's Parwan province on Thursday to provide potable water to the residents of the area, reported the official Radio and Television of Afghanistan (RTA) on Thursday night.
The essential project at a cost of 42.8 million afghani (around 670,000 U.S. dollars) would provide clean water to 2,218 families, the official media outlet further said.
The Afghan government would do its best to provide clean water to its citizens elsewhere in the country, RTA emphasized. ■
