URUMQI, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang called on China and Eurasian countries to deliver more fruitful results through mutually beneficial cooperation, and inject greater stability and positive energy into regional and global development on Thursday in Urumqi, capital of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Ding, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks during his speech at the opening ceremony of the 9th China-Eurasia Expo.

The Eurasian continent has become a priority region for international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, Ding said, adding that in recent years, China, together with all Eurasian parties, has upheld peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit, and steadily advanced practical cooperation across all fields.

Ding put forward a four-point proposal for China-Eurasian cooperation, namely to continue to deepen the alignment of development strategies, to expand high-level opening-up, to build a diversified and efficient connectivity network, and to foster and strengthen new drivers of development.

The Chinese government will, as always, support Xinjiang in actively exploring a path of high-quality development suited to its local conditions, accelerate the development of the core zone of the Silk Road Economic Belt, and enable it to play a greater role in promoting domestic and international dual circulation, Ding noted.

Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin, Kyrgyz Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Erlist Akunbekov, and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

Ding met with them respectively on June 24 and 25, where he took the opportunity to exchance views on issues of mutual interest.

Ding said China stands ready to further enhance political mutual trust with all parties, firmly support each other on issues concerning core interests and major concerns, consolidate and expand practical cooperation in various fields, strengthen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and enhance coordination and cooperation within multilateral frameworks, so as to better benefit all countries and their peoples.

The foreign dignitaries spoke highly of China's important role in promoting regional and global peace and development, and expressed readiness to work with China to advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, deepen cooperation in economy, trade, investment, infrastructure and other fields, and bring bilateral relations to new heights.
