BEIJING, June 24 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Commerce has issued and put into effect new rules regarding the investigation of industrial and supply chain security in a move to safeguard the security and stability of global industrial and supply chains.
The 22-article document specifies the scope, content, procedures and remedial actions for security investigations, thereby providing clear operational rules.
The ministry will carry out the investigations in accordance with the law to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises and help ensure the stability and smooth functioning of both domestic and global industrial and supply chains, it said.
The rules are in line with a set of regulations on industrial and supply chain security released by the State Council in April 2026, which are aimed at preventing security risks in industrial and supply chains, enhancing their resilience and security, and safeguarding economic and social stability as well as national security. ■
