NEW YORK, June 22 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended mixed on Monday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 148.01 points, or 0.29 percent, to 51,712.71. The S&P 500 sank 27.79 points, or 0.37 percent, to 7,472.79. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 351.33 points, or 1.32 percent, to 26,166.6.
Seven of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors ended in green, with real estate and energy leading the gainers by rising 1.38 percent and 1.24 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, communication services and consumer discretionary led the laggards by dropping 3.83 percent and 2.33 percent, respectively. ■
