DAR ES SALAAM, June 22 (Xinhua) -- China's Juncao technology has drawn widespread attention at a livestock expo jointly organized by Tanzania, Kenya and Namibia, highlighting the deepening agricultural cooperation between China and Africa.

Held from June 19 to 21 in Tanzania, the expo brought together stakeholders from across the livestock sector to showcase innovations and strengthen partnerships.

The Chinese-aided Juncao technology project expert team in Tanzania was invited to participate and present key advancements in the field.

The exhibition of Juncao technology, a multifunctional grass used for cultivating edible mushrooms and producing livestock feed, marks a significant step forward in China-Tanzania cooperation.

In April, the Chinese expert team arrived in Tanzania to implement a China-aided project focused on promoting the technology.

Wang Yunyong, head of the Chinese expert team, said that this year marks the 40th anniversary of the invention of Juncao technology, which is increasingly seen as a driver of green agricultural development.

Known for being cost-effective, fast-yielding, and beneficial to livelihoods, the technology aligns with Tanzania's national livestock strategies, Wang added, noting that by boosting productivity and increasing farmers' incomes, Juncao technology is helping to pave the way for sustainable agricultural growth in Tanzania and across Africa.
