ISLAMABAD, June 23 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Pakistan on Tuesday for an official visit to discuss the ongoing diplomatic efforts following the signing of the U.S.-Iran peace memorandum of understanding (MoU).
During the visit, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Iranian president will hold meetings, exchanging views on bilateral relations, regional and international developments and avenues for enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
Following the discussions, the Pakistani prime minister and Pezeshkian will address the media during a joint press stakeout, according to government officials.
The visit is expected to provide further impetus to efforts aimed at deepening bilateral engagement and promoting regional stability and economic cooperation. ■
