HANOI, June 22 (Xinhua) -- A coach driver was killed and eight people were injured after a passenger coach collided with a tractor-trailer on the North-South expressway in Vietnam's central province of Ha Tinh on Sunday night, local media Dan Tri reported Monday.
The accident occurred at about 8 p.m. when the northbound coach struck the rear of the tractor-trailer carrying large steel frames, the report said, citing local authorities.
The impact damaged the front of the coach, leaving its driver dead due to severe injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. ■
