CAIRO, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met here Saturday with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, as well as a senior U.S. official, to discuss the Iran-U.S. peace memorandum of understanding (MoU) and regional issues, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said.
According to a statement by the ministry, Abdelatty exchanged views with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and U.S. President's Senior Adviser for Africa Massad Boulos.
The officials reviewed regional developments following the signing of the MoU between Iran and the United States earlier this week, stressing the importance of building on the agreement to ease regional tensions and promote peace and stability, the statement said.
The meeting also discussed developments in Libya, the Palestinian issue and Africa, it said. ■
