KABUL, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Afghan and Kazakhstani enterprises have signed 25 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in Kabul to strengthen bilateral trade and investment ties, the Afghan Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced Saturday evening.
The agreements were inked during a joint business forum, which featured a comprehensive exhibition of products and industrial goods from both countries, accompanied by intensive business-to-business meetings between private sector representatives.
Spanning key sectors of trade and investment, the MoUs place particular emphasis on expanding import and export activities. They cover collaboration in spices, fresh and dried fruits and vegetables, as well as the supply and exchange of essential commodities, including flour, wheat, edible oil, potatoes, and banking and financial services. ■
