GUIYANG, June 21 (Xinhua) -- China's Zhang Boheng won the parallel bars title as the men's competition at the Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships concluded in Zunyi, southwest China's Guizhou Province, on Sunday.
Zhang scored 14.933 points to take gold in the parallel bars final, while gymnasts from South Korea and Chinese Taipei claimed silver and bronze.
"I performed very well today. I showed my best form and completed my routines cleanly, which marks a big step forward for me," said Zhang.
Reflecting on his debut Asian Championships campaign, Zhang said he felt "very fulfilled" after collecting three gold medals and three silvers, including team and all-around titles as well as silver medals in rings, pommel horse and horizontal bar.
In the junior competition, China's Yang Lanbin won silver on parallel bars with 13.566 points and bronze on horizontal bar with 13.533. Japan swept the junior titles in both events, while China's Dong Li took silver on horizontal bar with 13.566 points.
Yang said the main weakness in his performance was the relatively low difficulty of his routines.
"I need to increase the difficulty level, refine my execution, and integrate new skills into complete routines to achieve greater breakthroughs," he said.
The women's competitions of the Asian Championships will be held from June 25 to 28. ■
