BEIRUT, June 20 (Xinhua) -- At least five people were killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes and drone attacks across southern Lebanon overnight and early Saturday, according to Lebanon's National News Agency.
The fatalities included three people killed in an airstrike on the town of Arabsalim, one person killed in a drone strike on Deir al-Zahrani, and another killed when a drone targeted a motorcycle in the town of Doueir.
Israeli artillery also shelled the city of Nabatieh and its outskirts early Saturday.
The attacks came despite a ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel that took effect on Friday afternoon. The truce followed the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran. ■
