Today marks the Dragon Boat Festival, a traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month.
Often associated with the ancient poet Qu Yuan, the festival is best known today for dragon boat racing, zongzi wrapped in bamboo leaves, and mugwort and calamus hung as symbols of health and protection.
