NEW DELHI, June 19 (Xinhua) -- E-commerce giant Amazon on Friday said its India operations are now "water positive."
According to the company, it returns more water to communities in India than it uses across its operations, including data centers, corporate offices and warehouses.
"Amazon had set a goal to become water positive in India by 2027 and has now achieved it ahead of time. This milestone marks a significant step in Amazon's global water stewardship strategy," the company said in a statement.
Amazon is an American electronic commerce and cloud computing company known as one of the largest internet-based retailers in the world.
