BEIJING, June 18 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted southern Peru at 1637 GMT on Wednesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 141.7 km, was initially determined to be at 15.97 degrees south latitude and 71.59 degrees west longitude. ■
