YANGON, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar aims to export over 1.3 million tonnes of corn in the 2026-2027 fiscal year, according to the Myanmar Corn Industrial Association (MCIA) on Tuesday.
Since the start of the current fiscal year in April, about 200,000 tonnes of corn have been exported to Thailand, the Philippines and India, an official from the MCIA told Xinhua.
In Myanmar, corn is cultivated across most regions and states, with Shan state being the country's largest corn-producing area, he said. ■
