BEIJING, June 16 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted southeast of Loyalty Islands at 1820 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 23.01 degrees south latitude and 170.80 degrees east longitude. ■
