India's exports rise over 14 pct in April-May

NEW DELHI, June 15 (Xinhua) -- India's cumulative exports, including merchandise and services, during April-May were estimated at 162.69 billion U.S. dollars, which was 14.66 percent more compared to 141.89 billion dollars in the same months of the previous year, revealed the federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Monday.

The cumulative value of merchandise exports during these two months was 88.91 billion dollars, as compared to 76.59 billion dollars during April-May 2025-26, thus registering a growth of 16.09 percent.

According to the federal government's data, the country's total exports, including merchandise and services, during May were estimated at 81.96 billion dollars, registering a positive growth of 15.83 percent compared to the same month last year.

Total imports, including merchandise and services, during May were estimated at 92.47 billion dollars, which was 19.23 percent more than the total imports in May last year, added the ministry's data.
