ULAN BATOR, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia opened the First International Forum of the Eurasian Museums at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum here on Monday.
During the forum, participants are expected to deliver presentations and engage in discussions on international cooperation, cultural heritage preservation and protection, museum development, policies and strategies, digital museums, innovation and marketing.
In a message addressed to the forum, Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh emphasized the importance of collaboration among museum professionals.
"I am confident that cooperation among museum institutions and professionals will promote the exchange of knowledge and culture and make a valuable contribution to strengthening friendship and mutual understanding among peoples," he said.
The president also expressed his commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at expanding international cooperation, sharing expertise, and implementing joint projects and programs. He noted that Mongolia would support creative proposals in the fields of research, conservation and restoration, museum collections, exhibitions, and education.
The forum, scheduled to conclude on June 20, has brought together around 200 delegates, including 55 museum directors and representatives from more than 20 countries and regions, according to the presidential press office. ■
