Iran's FM says signing of MoU with U.S. possible within few days

Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said Friday night that the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United States to end the war could take place within the next few days.

In an interview with state-run IRIB TV, Araghchi said that upon finalized, the MoU will be signed digitally by both sides in their respective countries and then announced.

Netanyahu says in "full agreement" with Trump on preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Friday that he and U.S. President Donald Trump were in "full agreement" to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

"As long as I am the Prime Minister of Israel -- Iran will not have nuclear weapons," Netanyahu said in a statement issued by his office.

Death toll from Philippine quake rises to 55, search continues for 38 missing

At least 55 people were killed, 38 missing and 1,120 injured after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck off the southern coast of Mindanao, the Philippines, on Monday, said the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Friday.

According to the NDRRMC, the disaster affected more than 86,000 families involving over 390,000 people. Some 19,000 houses were damaged, and power supplies in 48 cities and municipalities were disrupted.

Security area at Hamburg Airport evacuated for "police operation" 

The security area of Hamburg Airport in Germany was evacuated on Friday due to a "police operation," with all passengers ordered to leave the area after security checks, the German Federal Police said.

Passengers who had already boarded aircraft were also required to disembark, said a federal police spokesperson.

Thai Princess Bajrakitiyabha passes away

Thai Princess Bajrakitiyabha, the eldest daughter of Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn, passed away on Thursday at age 47 after more than three years of hospitalization, the Bureau of the Royal Household announced on Friday.

In a statement, the bureau said the princess passed away at 7:48 p.m. local time at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital in Bangkok, where she had been receiving treatment since December 2022.
