JAKARTA, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's investment management agency Danantara has raised 1.5 billion U.S. dollars in its debut U.S. dollar bond sale, drawing strong demand from international investors, local media reported on Friday.

Danantara Investment Management sold 750 million dollars in five-year bonds and 750 million dollars in 10-year bonds. The five-year bonds were priced to yield 5.35 percent, while the 10-year bonds were priced to yield 5.95 percent.

Investors from Europe, the Middle East and Africa accounted for 41 percent of allocations in the five-year tranche, followed by the United States at 38 percent and Asia at 21 percent.

For the 10-year tranche, U.S. investors represented 52 percent of allocations, ahead of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at 31 percent, and Asia at 17 percent.

The agency said in a statement that the strong investor response reflected confidence in Indonesia's economic prospects, despite ongoing volatility in global financial markets.
