KABUL, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Eight travelers were injured, some in critical condition, due to a road mishap in Mazar-i-Sharif city, the capital of Balkh province in northern Afghanistan, on Sunday, a news release of the provincial police office said.
Blaming reckless driving for the mishap, the news release added that all the injured people, some in critical condition, had been shifted to the hospital.
Previously, a similar accident left six commuters injured on a road linking Balkh province to the neighboring Jawzjan on Saturday. ■
