JERUSALEM/BEIRUT, June 7 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli air force began a series of airstrikes in Beirut's southern suburbs on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a statement.
Lebanese broadcaster Al-Jadeed TV reported that an Israeli airstrike involving three missiles targeted two apartments near the Aytam gas station junction toward Tahwitat al-Ghadir in Beirut's southern suburbs. ■
