PHNOM PENH -- Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said Tuesday that the kingdom has delivered a formal notice to Thailand and to the UN secretary general to begin compulsory conciliation proceedings under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea concerning the overlapping maritime claims with Thailand.

JAKARTA -- Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) has developed a second-generation pyrolysis technology capable of converting plastic waste into industrial fuel, with a processing capacity of 1.25 tons of waste per day.

Agus Kismanto, a researcher at BRIN, said on Monday that the technology, named Liquid Fuel from Plastic Waste with Advanced Pyrolysis System for Industrial Scale, employs a continuous-multi-stage operating system that enables plastic waste to be fed directly into the reactor without prior sorting. MANILA -- The death toll from the collapse of a building under construction in Angeles City, Pampanga province, northern Philippines, rose to 20 after rescuers recovered three more bodies from the rubble, said local authorities Tuesday.
