BEIJING, May 27 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted Tonga Islands region at 1912 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 17.82 degrees south latitude and 172.65 degrees west longitude. ■
