Chinese shares close higher Monday

BEIJING, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.96 percent to 4,152.57 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.66 percent higher at 15,856.61 points. ■
