TEHRAN, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf was re-elected on Monday as head of the Gulf country's unicameral national legislative body, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.
In an annual direct election by legislators to produce a 12-member presidium of Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly, Qalibaf was re-elected head of the presidium, the parliament's executive and administrative board.
Iran holds parliamentary elections every four years. ■
