KABUL, May 24 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan government has approved 15 projects with a total investment of 4.2 billion afghani (around 68 million U.S. dollars) to accelerate the development and reconstruction process of the post-war country, the official Radio and Television of Afghanistan (RTA) reported on Saturday night.
The approval was made at a meeting of Procurement Commission, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, RTA said, adding that the commission also amended and revised seven more projects.
It also noted that the government would continue to strengthen infrastructural projects in the country.
The approved projects include construction of roads, hospitals, water reservoir dams and electricity supply in several districts across the country, the report said, adding that all the projects will be financed by the government. ■
