HANOI, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed in a rockslide in Thanh Hoa province in central Vietnam, the Vietnam News Agency reported on Thursday.
The incident took place at around 5 p.m. on Wednesday at a stone quarry in Cam Tu commune, where a large mass of rocks and soil collapsed onto workers at the foot of the mountain, according to the report.
Of the three workers involved in the accident, one died while being transported to hospital, while the other two were initially reported missing before their bodies were recovered later, the state-run media outlet said.
Local authorities have categorized the incident as a workplace accident. ■
