BEIJING, May 20 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai Shenhua was held to a 2-2 draw by Wuhan Three Towns, while Zhejiang FC crushed Shandong Taishan 4-1 as the 13th round of the Chinese Super League concluded on Wednesday.
Zhu Chenjie headed the ball across goal for Xu Haoyang to nod home against his former club and put Shenhua ahead in the seventh minute. 30 minutes later, Gao Tianyi threaded a pass through to Brazilian striker Rafael Ratao, who calmly finished a one-on-one chance to make it 2-0.
Wuhan pulled one back just before halftime when Jhonder Cadiz set up Gustavo Sauer to score, before the Venezuelan striker found the net himself in the second half to level the match.
The draw extended Shenhua's winless streak to five matches, while Wuhan's run without a victory stretched to six games. Wuhan remains second from bottom with six points.
Elsewhere, Raphael Merkies gave Shandong the lead just one minute into the match with a tap-in from Xie Wenneng's cross.
Cheng Jin equalized for Zhejiang with a rebound in the 59th minute before Alexandru Mitrita inspired a comeback with two assists, one in the 64th minute for Gao Di and another moments before the final whistle for Tao Qianglong. Marko Tolic added a goal in the 73rd minute as Zhejiang secured a commanding home victory and extended its unbeaten run to five matches.
Also on Wednesday, Chongqing Tonglianglong and Yunnan Yukun played out a goalless draw, while Liaoning Tieren defeated Qingdao Hainiu 2-1.
On Tuesday, Shanghai Port handed Chengdu Rongcheng its first defeat of the season with a 1-0 win.
Despite the loss, Chengdu remains top of the standings with 34 points from 13 matches, followed by Chongqing on 21 points and Yunnan on 20. ■
