YANGON, May 19 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar welcomed over 360,000 foreign visitors during the first four months of 2026, according to the Ministry of Hotels, Tourism and Culture on Tuesday.
The number of foreign tourist arrivals between January and April marked an increase from the same period in 2025, an official from the ministry told Xinhua.
China accounted for the largest number of visitors, with more than 42,000 arrivals, followed by Thailand and South Korea, the official said.
In 2025, over 973,000 foreign tourists visited Myanmar, according to the ministry. ■
