MINSK, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Belarusian gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.2 percent in the first four months of 2026, the National Statistical Committee said on Monday.
Preliminary estimates indicate that GDP in current prices reached 94.5 billion Belarusian rubles (33.89 billion U.S. dollars). When adjusted for inflation, GDP was 100.2 percent of the level recorded in January-April 2025.
The GDP deflator index for January-April 2026, compared to the same period last year, stood at 110 percent.
For 2026 as a whole, a presidential decree outlining key macroeconomic forecast parameters sets the GDP growth target at 2.8 percent. ■
