BEIJING, May 17 (Xinhua) -- Wang Xiaodong, a member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and deputy director of its Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, has been placed under investigation for suspected serious violations of discipline and laws, an official statement said Sunday.
Wang's case is being investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision, according to the statement. ■
