HANOI, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's digital technology industry is expected to generate annual revenue of at least 300 billion U.S. dollars by 2030 under the government's newly approved program for digital technology industry development, Vietnam Television reported Thursday.
Under the program, the industry is targeted to maintain average annual growth of 12 percent or higher by 2030.
The program also aims to turn Vietnam into one of the leading regional and global hubs for the digital technology industry by 2045, according to the report.
The Southeast Asian country plans to develop at least 10 digital technology enterprises capable of competing with companies from advanced countries by 2045. ■
