CHONGQING, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on Wednesday welcomed Chinese manufacturing enterprises to develop in Tajikistan, leverage complementary strengths and further promote economic and trade exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation in the future.

Rahmon made the remarks during a visit to southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.

Rahmon said he was deeply impressed by China's progress in manufacturing sectors such as automobiles and motorcycles. After arriving in Chongqing on Wednesday, he visited a super factory of carmaker Seres and an industrial park of motorcycle manufacturer Zonsen Group.

Rahmon said Chinese manufacturing enterprises boast a high level of automation and smart manufacturing, and the products of these two companies had left him a good impression.

He noted that Tajikistan has abundant mineral resources and a sufficient labor force and the two sides can draw on each other's strengths. He welcomed Chinese companies to invest and establish operations in the country.

Rahmon added that Tajikistan is ready to continuously deepen bilateral economic and trade exchanges and advance more pragmatic cooperation in the future.

In recent years, economic and trade cooperation between China and Tajikistan has enjoyed rapid development. In 2025, bilateral trade exceeded 30.8 billion yuan (about 4.5 billion U.S. dollars), up 12.5 percent year on year.
